What is the best video camera to buy right now for skateboarding/snowboarding/sports/nature etc?
Mostly I want to know what the best camcorder is for skateboarding. From research I think that I should get a flash memory camera. thoughts?
Here’s what I want to be good on the camera:
• Overall film quality
• Motion (will be following skateboarding, fast action)
• Low light filming (skateboarding is sometimes filmed at night
I really like the look of the: panasonic hdc-tm300 but its too expensive. If I can’t find a cheaper camera that meets my requirements I will wait and spend more money.
also: Canon vixia hf11?
Do you know any site that review videocameras?
I’ve been checking out, camcorderinfo.com and it looks pretty detailed, have you used it?
Thanks for your input
Which camera is better in your opinion Nikon P100 or Panasonic ZS7?
Hello
i want a new camera for vacations . I found two amazing new cameras ,i saw there video review there features and specifications , Nikon P100 has bigger in each of (26.1X) optical power zoom , aperture (2.8) and (1280) video record , while Panasonic ZS7 has smaller size ,GPS and better colour saturation. Both of them have almost the same price . I need some opinions, thanks.

Good digital camera for recording video at gigs?
Okay so basically I’ve had a look around on here, but none of it’s working for me.
I’m looking for a good COMPACT (not a bridge nor an SLR) digital camera with good zoom and HQ video capture. It needs to be good for capturing audio, too, seeing as I’ll be taking it to gigs and stuff.
I have Canon Powershot S3 IS and it takes amazing quality video and photos, but the audio is just horrible, and its just way too big to keep taking to concerts, and its heavy too so I can’t jump around holding it
The zoom is amazing on it though, 12x optical and like 44x combined or something.
Anyway.
I was looking at the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5, and it seemed good with 9.1 MP and 10x optical zoom, but then I read reviews and found samples of footage shot at concerts and the audio quality was terrible.
I found video footage of recent McFly concerts (where I’ll most likely be videoing so yeah…) and there were some really good quality videos on there taken with a Sony Cybershot, but I was just wondering which model would be best? Bearing in mind it needs good zoom ’cause I’m usually stuck in fairly bad seats.
Or if you have any other suggestions, do tell me ![]()
It’s not all that urgent but I’d like to ask for it for Christmas ’cause my parents want to know what I want :p
But PLEASE, do not just tell me a brand, I want a model and some examples wouldn’t go amiss, though I could search those out myself, I’m not entirely lazy ![]()
I clearly said COMPACT camera, not an SLR or bridge or DSLR or whatever.
I’d quite like to be able to take stills as well as the video footage, and I wouldn’t be able to set up an extra microphone thing like somebody suggested seeing as it’s more than likely going to be prohibited :/
Hitachi 43FWX20B What chips should I use for convergence problem?
I’ve been doing some research and the original chip should be a STK392-110. Doing some more reading and people say it should be replaced with a STK392-150 cause the -110 chip is obsolete. Is that true? Also, as long as the numbers on the chip match, should it matter when people say its for a sanyo or panasonic or whatever brand? Should anything else be replaced along with the chips? Also, does anyone know where I can download the service manual for free?
Would you buy this panasonic video camera for this price?
I checked the Panasonic AG-DVX100B ideo camera out, besides a few things of dust, the camera had no scratches on shell or lense or anything. Everything worked through the lcd and menus. It has 79 Hours too.
Would you buy it for 2000 or 1900 if I got it down that much?

Whats the best digital stills camera for recording video?
I have been looking at some 0 – 0 range HDD and Flash Drive camcorders & quite a lot of the reviews have people saying that their normal stills camera take better pics (no shock there) AND also better video than some of the camcorders.
I want something small & compact. It will be used quite a bit for recording while mounted on a motorcycle also.
If it is any help, these are the camcorders I have been looking at are:
JVC GZMS 100 – 0
JVC GZMA 330 – 0
Panasonic SDR H40 – 0
Sony DCR SR45 – 0
