FLASH: Sony teaser for next-generation portable, AKA PSP2

Sony has revealed its Next Generation Portable, the next in the PSP family at a news conference in Tokyo.

Classic Game Room HD – Sony PSP review

Classic Game Room HD reviews the Sony PSP model PSP-3001, released in 2008. This PSP is the unit that CGR uses for all of the PSP reviews because it has an amazing audio and video output that allows gamers to play the PSP on televisions with component video for the best picture possible. The PSP itself has an amazing screen, sounds great through headphones (or stereo system) and is built with excellent controls and feels solid. The UMD format is the weak link for this (and other, older PSP models) unit because the UMD drive is an optical drive just waiting to have problems. Fortunately PSP owners can download most of their games from the Playstation Network these days, including a huge number of original PSone video games for PSP. Now that the PSP Go is released you may think that the PSP series 1000, 2000 and 3000 are obsolete but they are not! The older PSP models can still download the newest games and rock your journey with Playstation on the go goodness.

My jpeg files will no longer open, nor will my avi, mp3, and video (help)?

Thanks for helping. I tried to open some photo files that I took with my camera have been in my computer for a while and have come up in the past. But now in photoshop I get (not a valid jpeg) and i no longer get a preview but the file size is still large anotherwords the information is still there I just cant see it. My music will not play and my Ipod movies mp4’s will no longer play in windows media player. can anyone help??? Is this a virus? I have nortons 06 system works and frankly I do not think that program has helped me one bit this past year. Any suggestions.
By the way these files are on a storage drive. the files on my c drive are ok.
I am working in windows xp, and these programs work fine when I am using a file from my c drive, it seems like all the files on my e drive are corrupted. I just tried to open a jpeg file in 3 other programs and none will recognize it. the most info I got was from photoshop cs and it stated a (unknown or invalid jpeg marker)
salman
I tried what you said I moved a picture from my e drive to my c drive and when it transfered it is now listed as a quiktime file. psp cs would not open it so I tried to open it in quiktime and it said it was not a video file.

Should I buy a PSP Go?

Should I buy a PSP Go. I already have a Ipod nano 5th Generation (the one with the video camera) but I am so sick of the Ipod and the Itunes hardware and software. I looked at the PSP Go and they are extreamely good for replacing the Ipod for music. I already have a PSP 3000 which I AM NOT SELLING because i like it. So i will have two PSP systems. I dont want to use the PSP go for any games I just want it for music and maybe a few minis. I really need the portability because I am a student and want to listen to music and the PSP 3000 isnt really something you can fit into your pocket.
And also another question…….
1. If i choose to buy a PSP go how do i put the Music on to the system?
Please help me choose.
Thanks :)

Sony has announced plans for video calling on PSP, now, any support for other cameras??

Does anybody know if there’s any way to get a regular webcam to work with an unmodified PSP? (Still running the native opperation system?) I have a logitech quickcam that I would like to use with it, but I don’t know of any way to 1 connect it in the first place since it’s USB type B and 2 even if you could connect it to get the PSP to work with it. Any suggestions? I know they sell a camera for it, but don’t want to buy it.

Which is better for me? PSP or iPod?

I want a good system that has everything on it, without being too big and cluttered. I found that the things I can afford are the iPods (Classic), or the PSP. I was wondering which one would be better for someone who enjoys watching Movies, videos, listening to music, playing games, taking pictures, and going on the internet, with the biggest portable screen possible.
I don’t care about PERFECT sound quality/ video quality, just good enough for me (for example, iPods EQ settings and sound check are unnecessary in my eyes).
Is the PSP really that good? Is the iPod worth it for it’s small screen, but good music and portability?

I understand that the PSP wins at Video, Gaming, Internet, Photo/Video Capturing, Tooling (GPS system, camera attachments, etc.), and that iPod Classic wins at Music, Portability, Durability, Lifetime and Battery life (except when you get the PSP Battery pack, which I have).

Which one is good for me? My priority is:
1 Game, 2 the Net, 3 Vid/pic, 4 Music.
I know an iPod won’t dissapoint with music/video, but I know it’s useless for screen, and won’t make movies very exciting. My main concern is that the PSP will get dead pixels, loose buttons, and won’t be as great as it is said to be.
Does anyone know official places where you can get your PSP repaired?
