Sony DSC-HX100V Camera Review (HD) – BinaryCafe
This is a review of the Sony DSC-HX100V Digital Camera Be sure to check out the supplemental sample videos! Purchase this camera at Amazon.com: amzn.to Transcend 16GB Class 10 Memory Card for Pictures and HD Video amzn.to Memory card reader (this USB accessory reads Memory Stick Pro Duos and SDHC cards) great for PS3 Slim amzn.to Note: some viewers commented that the sensor next to the viewfinder is a proximity sensor, not a heat sensor. I’m not really sure how it works, but it does seem a bit sensitive (eg, the camera switches from LCD to viewfinder unexpectedly when it’s close to the body). This video was recorded with the Sony DSC-HX9V camera using its built-in mic’s. June 12, 2011 Copyright 2011 Michael J. Wilcox / BinaryCafe.com
1980 Sony HVC-3000P colour camera filming near Dombarton (24/10/2011)
This is a 16 minute video of me filming the nice view of the paddocks and mountain ranges west of Dapto near Dombarton on my 1980 Sony HVC-3000P trinicon tube colour video camera. This camera makes very nice pictures with colour accuracy equivalent to that of a modern CCD camera made in the 90s!!! I had to ramp up the levels as the picture was dull when viewing on computer so there is some clipping on the highlights but I have kept it as minimal as possible.

1980/81 Sony HVC-3000P trinicon tube colour video camera test
This is a little test video to show the quality of images that come from my vintage 1980/81 Sony HVC-3000P trinicon tube colour video camera. For the first near 2 minutes I talk about the camera with just the room light on so it’s dark (my apologies) but after that I plug the cyc light in and you’ll see a very nice picture with colour that’s as accurate as a CCD colour camera. On the TV screen the pictures look as good as that of my 1991 Panasonic NV-MS1 S-VHS CCD camera, on computer however the inferiority of the picture definition of the HVC-3000P shows but overall is still very good!
1980 Sony HVC-3000P colour camera filming at Hill 60, Port Kembla (24/10/2011)
This is a 31 minute video of me filming the nice ocean view and beaches from Hill 60 in Port Kembla on my 1980 Sony HVC-3000P trinicon tube colour video camera. This camera makes very nice pictures with colour accuracy equivalent to that of a modern CCD camera made in the 90s!!! I had to ramp up the levels as the picture was dull when viewing on computer so there is some clipping on the highlights but I have kept it as minimal as possible.
1980 Sony HVC-3000P colour camera filming at Kembla Grange (24/10/2011)
This is a 13 minute video of me filming a clearing area near the cemetery at Kembla Grange on my 1980 Sony HVC-3000P trinicon tube colour video camera. This camera makes very nice pictures with colour accuracy equivalent to that of a modern CCD camera made in the 90s!!! I had to ramp up the levels as the picture was dull when viewing on computer so there is some clipping on the highlights but I have kept it as minimal as possible.
Sony NEX-5 review
What Digital Camera reviews the Sony NEX-5, the world’s smallest interchangeable lens system camera with a brand new 14.2 megapixel APS HD CMOS sensor capable of capturing scenes up to ISO 12800 and 1080/60i HD movie recording. Compact-like in appearance but with DSLR-quality, what does Sony’s new venture bring to the Micro System Camera or ‘hybrid’ market? The What Digital Camera Sony NEX-5 video review…
1980 Sony HVC-3000P psychedelic chroma key test
This is a chroma key test using my 1980/81 Sony HVC-3000P trinicon tube colour video camera. Using Pinnacle Studio 15, I used the classic 70s visual feedback effect and I used the same video on overlay and used the chroma key effect so I look normal but the background has that funky psychedelic coloured visual feedback effect and this is the resultant video which came out very good!
I of course included a suitable amped up psychedelic heavy rock song from the early 70s to go well with the effect, it is from a 70s Aussie band called Chook and the song is “Tables Turn” which was recorded 1971, it is a VERY COOL song!!!
Anyways I am overall impressed with the picture quality and lighting and chroma key ability with this camera, it makes great images and I can chroma key easily. This camera will be a staple for my chroma key work alongside my 1991 Panasonic MS1 CCD SVHS camera.
